RIP May 3, 2008
Our Mommy has gone away, taken to heaven one early spring day.
We were her "babies", she loved us to no end.
It will take some time but our hearts will mend.
With a little help from SHINE, we'll all find homes and be just fine.
Please help us enjoy all the remaining days,
As our mom would have wanted, with only love and praise.
Please visit my "sisters" too: Shasta, Skye and Stray
For over 8 years, this brown parti-eyed spayed beauty loved and respected her Mom and sisters. Now she is grieving and needs your help to heal. This beautiful lady is friendly, affectionate, playful, gentle, alert, outgoing and just longs for another mommy to look back into her eyes and show her love again. Samantha has lived with all other medium to large female dogs but cannot live with cats or other small animals. Samantha, being a lady, knows her house manners but she can still "cut a rug" when offered a worthwhile treat and enjoys sharing your bed occasionally. She knows that a leash means going somewhere exciting and will sit when asked, just as any proper lady should.
Samantha does need some special care because she takes thyroid medications, but that's just a little pill to her. Do you have a place in your home and heart for Miss Samantha? She needs someone special to help her heal and enjoy the rest of her years the way her Mommy would have wanted her to, well fed, cared for and happy as a husky should be when surrounded by family.

UPDATE: May 2008 - Miss Samantha was helped to the Rainbow Bridge by her caretaker on May 3rd, 2008. She suddenly became ill overnight and upon xray review her vet determined Samantha had a tumor in her stomach that had ruptured overnight and therefore the decision was made to end her suffering and pain from that illness. Samantha is now running and cuddling with her owner who predeceased her by less than a month. Wear your silver harness proudly Samantha...you were very loved and will be missed by all who met you.
