This lovely lady was found roaming a neighborhood and seemed well cared for, but her owners were never found so a good samaritan updated her on all necessary shots/tests and in that process found that she was indeed already spayed. HOORAY! That wonderful lady then enrolled Nadia in the SHINE owner referral program.
Nadia was about 2 years old when she entered the owner referral program and a very regal looking black/white blue eyed husky who was just in need of a home to call her own. She was friendly, affectionate, playful, gentle, outgoing, housebroken, and leash trained and LOVED to take walks. Seemed very well socialized with medium to large dogs and all sizes of people, including children. It was unknown whether Nadia would be good with smaller animals at that time.
SHINE had already been processing a family with TONS of husky experience who was looking for a little husky lady to call their own. While enduring the application process, this family took in another homeless husky mix who was in need and they were hoping that Nadia would make their pack complete. Once they were approved by the SHINE board, it didn't take long to know that this was the "right fit" and therefore, Nadia found a wonderful husky home with a new Dad to take her on tons of walks and a Mom who knows all there is to know about the good and bad of husky antics, so Nadia won't be getting away with things just on her looks alone. She loves her new "sibling" sister, Aurora and they tire each other out....eventually.
